Watch Who Is Fancy Perform The Catchy “Boys Like You” With Meghan Trainor & Ariana Grande On “Dancing With The Stars” Finale!
Republic Records’ new protegé, rising singer Who Is Fancy, performed his new single titled “Boys Like You” on the season finale of “Dancing With The Stars” last night, November 23rd, on ABC. This was the very first televised performance of the doo-wop number that features pop divas Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande - check out my review of “Boys Like You” here. “Boys Like You” is the newest single from Who Is Fancy’s upcoming EP or full-length debut album that he plans to release early next year via Republic. The previous single was a song called “Goodbye” that got viral thanks to its music video and the then mysterious identity of Who Is Fancy.
Yesterday’s performance of “Boys Like You” on “Dancing With The Stars” was probably the most important one for the song as it’s likely that in the next TV performances we won’t be seeing the three singers on a same stage due to schedule problems. Last night’s performance was probably a one-time thing to make it coincide with the single’s official release day. So enjoy it!
As for the performance itself, Who Is Fancy kicked off things by singing “Boys Like You” in the middle of the main stage, wearing a sort of sparkly green poncho, and flirting a little with the hot male dancers. In the second verse, Meghan Trainor’s verse, the “Lips Are Moving” star appeared on camera at a sort of backstage dressing room, sitting on her diva chair, looking herself on the mirror, and also flirting with the almost-shirtless hot boys next to her. Eventually, Who Is Fancy arrived where she was and together sang the chorus of the song. The third verse, Ariana Grande’s verse, saw the Florida singer walking down the main stage’s stairs - wearing a cute and comfortable two-piece black outfit, including long pants - while singing her part and ultimately joining Who Is Fancy and Meghan Trainor next to the jury panel’s table. But singing wasn’t the only thing they did at that moment. They also gave the dancers of the TV show 10 points each, lol! To finally wrap it up, all three singers came down to the center of the main stage to finalize “Boys Like You” with one last big chorus. Who Is Fancy threw glitter at the camera in the last moment.
Oh my god! I really hope there are songs where Ariana shows off her low register like in this performance in her upcoming album “Moonlight”. Low key Ariana sounds hot!
