Young Jeezy Arrested For Battery, False Imprisonment, & Terrorist Threats In Atlanta [News]
According to TMZ, Young Jeezy was arrested in his Atlanta hometown this past weekend on charges of battery, false imprisonment, and terrorist threats. Documents obtained by TMZ show the arrest stems back to a physical altercation between Jeezy and his son which occured in September of 2012.
The incident report states the altercation occurred in a bathroom and began when Jeezy threw his son into a glass shower door causing him to hit his head. Jeezy then allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him. The report goes on to say Jeezy choked his son and told him "I will put a bullet in your head right now, "If I could get away with it, I would kill you." His son apparently tried to escape towards the stairwell but was blocked off by Jeezy's bodyguard.
The arrest was made this past Friday (Jan. 3rd) after Young Jeezy turned himself into authorities when a grand jury warrant for each charge was issued. The bond was set to $45,000 which the Atlanta rapper, who is 36 years old, quickly paid and was then released. No word on when the next court date is. Jeezy's lawyer told TMZ:
"We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."
