You+Me Perform on "Ellen" / Pink Shades Mariah Carey?
You+Me, the new folk duo made of Pink and Dallas Green of City and Colour, performed their self-titled debut single “You and Me”, the first official offering from their debut album "Rose ave.” (out today, October 14th), on “The Ellen Show” on Monday afternoon. Watch their too-beautiful-to-be-true acoustic performance below:
Before above’s stunning performance, Ellen DeGeneres interviewed Pink (why only Pink and not her together with Dallas, you ask? Well, it seems obvious, doesn’t it? Although You+Me are super talented, Pink is the only “news-worthy” member of the duo.) Pink discussed about motherhood and deciphering her daughter’s unique language, as well as explaining how to flawlessly harmonize (Ellen seemed very intrigued by this.) Pink told Ellen the procedure to harmonize: “you have to put this finger in your ear, and this other finger in the air, and you have to this (does wild gesticulation)”. “Mariah taught us all, didn’t she?”, then said Pink without hiding her sarcasm at all. Was that shade? Pink laughed, mocked Mariah and that sentence was just...shady. She was trying to be funny I know, but my radar definitely spotted shade.
