You+Me - "Break the Cycle" [Music Video]
Is someone having second thoughts about the first single? You+Me (a new duo formed by Pink and City and Colour’s Dallas Green) released the eponymous song "You and Me" as the lead single from their forthcoming debut album "Rose .ave" (Oct. 13) but strangely it’s the “buzz” single “Break the Cycle” (premiered by the Huffington Post yesterday) the song that’s getting a music video first. The emotional ballad Pink wrote about her mother (and that Dallas helps her sing) has gotten a very vintage-looking music video. It’s almost as if they used Windows Movie Maker to create it. In the music video, it’s almost twilight, and as the sun comes down, Pink and Dallas sing “Break the Cycle” in the middle of a field, by a river, and at their house’s porch. It’s all very calm and nostalgic. Wonder why exactly they wanted to give the video the effect it was shot 60 years ago? In any case, I liked it, it suited the song's vibe, and I love the way the dying sunshine hit their faces.
