World Premiere! Years & Years - "Meteorite": Full Audio + Review
It seems Ellie Goulding won’t have the best song on the “Bridget Jones’s Baby” soundtrack after all. I loved “Still Falling For You” but I didn’t love it as much as “Love Me Like You Do”, and on top of that, Years & Years just unveiled their song from the “BJB” soundtrack today (Sept. 13) and it is too amazing. Sorry Ellie, maybe your song from the next ‘Fifty Shades’ soundtrack will be the best on that album?
Entitled “Meteorite”, the new song from the British group was exclusively released on Apple Music today. It’ll be available most likely on the other digital platforms on Friday - hopefully!
“Meteorite” is an infectious upbeat disco-funk tune where Y&Y’s frontman Olly Alexander sings about meeting a new guy, totally connecting with him on the first night, and wanting for him to give it to him like it was their last night already. Really? Slow down, man! “Let me feel your emotion / Love me like it's the last night / Hit me like a meteorite”, sings Olly. Yep, someone has fallen in love too fast and the inevitable will happen whether we like it or not, lol.
