Will Smith Spontaneously Raps "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" on "Letterman": Watch
He’s still got it!
Actor/rapper Will Smith made an appearance last night (Feb. 19) on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” to promote his upcoming film “Focus”, which opens in theatres stateside next week, on February 27th to be precise, and it was certainly a memorable moment. Not only did the father of two plugged his comedy-drama movie, he also treated the audience with an impromptu “Gettin' Jiggy wit It” performance!!!
Basically, a dashingly-looking Will Smith was introduced to the stage, he waved hello to the crowd, shook up David Letterman’s hand, but then instead of sitting on the grey chair of guests, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith's father got a little bit too hyped up by the “Gettin' Jiggy wit It” instrumental that the ‘Late Show’ band was playing that he went to grab a microphone and start rapping his 1998 number one hit!
Lol, though. That had to be the whitest crowd Will Smith had ever performed in front of. Hey, at least they did sing the 'Na na na na na na na nana’ bits (very low volume though) when the “Focus” actor asked for them.
I haven’t really cared much about Will’s latest films, but hey, I would totally support him if he decided to make a musical comeback. He definitely still has the flow!
