Westlife - Safe (New Song!)
Irish group Westlife are set to release their as-yet-untitled ELEVENTH album this November 15th - Wow, can't believe it was in 1999 when these guys released "Swear It Again" and "Flying Without Wings" - Anyhow, Westlife's new CD will be preceded by the lead single "Safe" - The pop ballad premiered today - October 5th - on UK radios. Oh well, I think Westlife have gotten to the point where they just can't make bad songs. "Safe" is good, it has Westlife's typical moving/heart-warming lyrics but I just think the Irish lads have made waaay better first singles in the past. Plus, I just read they recorded the new album only two months ago in L.A and that it was entirely produced by John Shanks (Miley Cyrus, Natasha Bedingfield). I don't mind it being done by only one producer, but it's the timing that bothers me. I feel this eleventh project is way too rushed. I mean, Westlife released their last album "Where We Are" in November 2009...so. I'm convinced if they had taken more time to think concepts, get producers etc, they would have recorded a better first single. Just saying. "Safe" will be released in the UK & Ireland on November 7th.
