Watch The Performances of 2017 Billboard Music Awards: Videos
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards were held last night (May 21) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and aired live via ABC in the U.S.
The big winner of the night was Canadian rapper Drake who managed to take 13 awards home (breaking Adele’s 2012 record of 12).
Who performed at this year’s Billboard Music Awards? The list is long (allow me to take a big breath): Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Wayne, Jason Derulo, Camila Cabello, The Chainsmokers, Julia Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Sam Hunt, Celine Dion, Imagine Dragons, Drake, Halsey, Florida Georgia Line, John Legend, Cher, and Bruno Mars.
“Top Artist” was won by Drake, “Top New Artist” was won by Zayn (and chances are high another One Direction member will win this category next year), and the “Icon Award” was given to Cher, who performed a medley of legendary classics.
Celine Dion was invited by Billboard to perform “My Heart Will Go On” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Titanic”.
Trivia: Ed Sheeran’s performance was pre-recorded in Santiago, Chile, and Drake’s performance was pre-recorded at The Fountains of Bellagio
