The 2018 Billboard Music Awards aired last night (May 20) on NBC live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kelly Clarkson was the host of this year's edition and she helped open the awards show too with a medley performance of the most popular singles of 2017 (Taylor, Shawn, Ed, etc).
The 2018 "Icon Award" was handed to Janet Jackson and she treated the venue crowd and viewers at home with a medley of some oldies but goodies.
Most-awarded artists were British pop singer Ed Sheeran and American rapper Kendrick Lamar. They received 6 awards each.
