Watch Solange’s Captivating Music Videos For “Cranes In The Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” Now!
Solange Knowles dropped a full new studio album titled “A Seat at the Table” last Friday and today (Oct. 3) she is keeping on with the treats for the fans by premiering not one but two music videos on YouTube. These are for the album songs “Cranes In The Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair”.
Honestly, Solange couldn’t have picked a more perfect time to drop this pair of visuals. “A Seat at the Table” is, as of this post, crowning the US iTunes Top 100 Albums chart. Huge!!! (major congratulations are in order.) I’m a fan of Solange, but heck no I was not expecting this kind of amazing reception for her new “surprise” album.
The “Cranes In The Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” music videos were co-directed by Solange and her husband Alan Ferguson and they sort of try to explore themes of identity and race.
“These videos are a musical representation of the spirit within an unapologetically Black woman who is not interested in remaining silent in a critical time of identity, empowerment, grief, healing and self-expression – let alone, artistic expression”
Totally digging the simple yet artsy approach Solange took for these music videos.
What an interesting era this is!
