Watch: Kings of Leon Debut New Single "Supersoaker" Live at 2013 Governor's Ball
Kings of Leon were scheduled to headline Day 1 of the 2013 Governor's Ball Festival in NYC last Friday (June 7) but due to the after-effects of a tropical storm that hit the city that day really bad the band's whole show was cancelled. Luckily for all the Kings of Leons fans that got tickets only to see these guys live, festival organisers managed to get a time slot for the band to play before the next day's headliners, Guns N' Roses.
Not sure if they had in mind to do this in the first place, or if it was the sentiment of rewarding their fans for the previous day's cancellation that made them do it, but Kings of Leon debuted live at their 2013 Governor's Ball concert on June 8 the official first single from their upcoming sixth studio album "Mechanical Bull". The song in question is entitled "Supersoaker". Watch fan-recorded footage of the performance below. From what I can hear of it, it sounds like classic Kings of Leon, and it sounds like a smash. Caleb and Co. simply cannot make bad music. "Supersoaker" is slated for digital release in July - ahh! wanna hear the HQ studio edit now! - while King of Leon's "Mechanical Bull" will hit stores across the world in September via RCA Records.
