Watch: JLS Discuss Split on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man', Oritse Cries [Full Interview]
About-to-be-done British boyband JLS sat down on Alan Carr's "Chatty Man" show on Channel 4 on Friday (April 25) to talk in depth of the 'news of the week' in the UK music scene, that the 'X Factor'-formed four-piece would be splitting up. Watch video below!
The news broke out this past Wednesday when JLS published a joint statement on their official website from which an excerpt read; "We wanted to make sure that you heard it from the four of us, that we have decided to bring our time as a band to an end". JLS had already taped their apperance on "Chatty Man" then and fans kind of had to wait for it to 'hear' the guys in person say the real reasons behind the split.
Well, in the end what they said was that their contract with Sony UK was about to expire last year, and that they simply didn't want to go on another five year-contract deal, and that they preferred to end their journey as JLS 'at the top'. And while I don't agree with that (please check out online the poor performance of their last album "Evolution" and singles), I just don't really want to kick a man when he is down, you know?. JLS will say goodbye to their fans with a last UK tour titled, "Goodbye; The Greatest Hits Tour" beginning on December 1, 2013. A 'hits' compilation with a new single will precede that.
Will they have successful solo careers?
