My new French obsession Jain (you should check out her song "Come" and her whole debut album "Zanaka" - all in English - immediately) took to VEVO today to premiere the music video for her new single "Makeba", and just like the video for "Come" Jain's brand new "Makeba" visual is too cool and a complete pleasure to the eyes.

For those not in the knowing, "Makeba" is a homage to South African musician Miriam Makeba, who was famous for her activist music against the apartheid in the country.

Here's Jain's explanation of the "Makeba" video published first on her Facebook:

"Miriam Makeba's songs have always followed me through the countries where I lived, by her strength and her voice, she became for me a Symbol. It is a symbolic clip, where South Africa is put forward, where art and rhythm are mixed, and where cultures are in harmony. Greg and Lio, the two directors knew perfectly how to capture this. Between street artist, pantsula dancers, fanfares and musicians, it is also a personal meeting with South African artists around the music. Viva Mama Africa..."

The music video sees Miss Jain traveling to South Africa and really soaking up all the culture she can - while serving plenty of signature Jain quirkiness.

BY THE WAY, that last scene where Jain paints that zebra was so funny. Only she could pulled that!
