Watch Hilary Duff’s So-So Performance of “Sparks” on “The Ellen Show” (Video)
Hilary Duff stopped by “The Ellen Show” on Thursday (May 14) to perform her new single “Sparks”. Her performance was cute but there’s definitely great room for improvement. Maybe she was a little nervous because it was the first time she did “Sparks” on television? ‘Cause if not, Hil needs to seriously work on her stage presence and perfecting that choreography.

Definitely cute but it’s my duty to criticize what I saw wrong so here we go: 1) the backing track played so strong it was almost like she was lip-syncing. The song ain’t that hard to sing so she has to sing it more live. 2) her stage presence and energy simply did not “sell” me the song and 3) she missed a few moves of the choreography and sometimes she was out of sync.
Yesterday was also the day the “Sparks” music video premiered online so definitely it was Hilary’s “busiest” day so far this era.
It was confirmed this week that her (comeback) new album “Breath In, Breathe Out” is out next month, June 16th, via Sony's RCA Records. If you ask me, I think it’s a bit too quick to be releasing this album. Hilary Duff's yet to have a real hit this era and I’m very worried her first-week album sales may be abysmal.
