Watch: Coldplay Perform 'Magic' and 'A Sky Full of Stars' on 'SNL'
Coldplay took to the 'Saturday Night Live' stage last night (May 3) for a double performance. Chris Martin and Co. performed the first two singles from the British rock band's forthcoming sixth album 'Ghost Stories', out worldwide on May 19th.
The first song they did was 'Magic'. The heartwarming love song is the lead single from 'Ghost Stories', and it shockingly didn't impress on the charts. 'Magic' debuted at #10 in the UK (which is pretty low), and it's only managed to peak thus far at #24 on the Hot 100 in the U.S even though it's been out for two months now.
The second song Coldplay played for us on 'SNL' on Saturday, May 3rd, was their confirmed next single 'A Sky Full of Stars'. This song co-produced by Avicii and Paul Epworth, and THIS totally sounds like a monster hit. The production is 'another level' good, and the sound is just so 'Coldplay', even though they had no say in the production.
As always, it's just a pleasure for the eyes and listen checking out Coldplay perform!
