Aura Dione & Lauren Alaina Premiere New Music Videos: "Geronimo" & "Georgia Peaches"
Danish singer Aura Dione has *finally* premiered the music video for her Scandinavian hit "Geronimo", an extremely catchy pop tune (if you haven't heard 'bout it till now, go click 'play' ASAP!) which sadly hasn't reached audiences beyond Aura Dione's 'primary' markets of Denmark, Germany, Austria, or Sweden. "Geronimo" got released in the summer of 2011 and I've been loving it ever since. I don't play it as much anymore, but everytime it pops on my iPod I know this is a must-listen.
"Geronimo" has got a fantastic structure, slow and uptempo moments, a great guitar, synth production, and clever, bubbly lyrics (e.g "Ge-ge-e jo jo uh lala hmm let's go!"). Now more than 6 months after its official release, Aura Dione is finally unveiling the music video for the song. What took her so long?? My intuition tells me her label had been saving up to give "Geronimo" a decent visual, so they could use it once "Geronimo" gets the international single treatment, which *fingers crossed* will occur soon! The video is good. It goes well with the 'breaking away' message. Plus, Aura Dione looks effortlessly HOT.
American Idol runner-up, and country music's latest representative Lauren Alaina channels her inner 'Daisy Duke' in the music video for "Georgia Peaches", the latest single off her debut album "Wildflower". Nice clip! Lauren got extra sassy! The only negative side is I'm not feeling this song...lol. I think she's a sweet girl, and a very talented singer, but I don't think her debut album is the reflection of her 'best' self. The music in it, besides "Like My Mother Does" which for some reason I totally loved, is a bit dull. Lauren should've let Nathan Chapman produced the entire album. I know he's a expensive producer, but he deliver the hits!
