Watch: Alicia Keys, John Legend, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, & Others Perform At Beatles’ 50th Anniversary Show
The Grammys held their 'The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles' special event at the Los Angeles Convention Center back on January 27th and tonight the taping finally hit television screens. Today's date, February 9th, also marks the 50th anniversary since The Beatles performed live for the first time on 'The Ed Sullivan Show'.
Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Keith Urban, and John Legend were all selected to perform in celebration of the seven-time GRAMMY Award-winning Beatles. Alicia Keys and John Legend delivered a strong performance of 'Let It Be' from their pianos, while Maroon 5 honored the British Band's legacy with 'All My Loving' and 'Ticket To Ride'. Mayer and Urban came out together as well for a live rendition of their cover of The Beatles' 'Don't Let Me Down'.
All performances received standing ovations from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the rest of the audience. Watch the artists salute The Beatles 50th anniversary below.
