Go Charli! Her latest single ‘Boom Clap’ is
still getting new peaks on the Billboard Hot 100 and on Pop radio (she just
entered the Top 20!) thanks to the love of pop fans and to viewers of 'The Fault in Our Stars’ film on whose soundtrack 'Boom Clap' appears. 'Boom Clap' is
entirely written by Charli XCX. You already know she's talented writer of pop
songs, right? She wrote ‘I Love It’ for Icona Pop and the chorus on ‘Fancy’.
Finally ‘pushing’ the single on TV, Charli XCX
performed ‘Boom Clap’ on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ on NBC on Monday, July
7. She looked very pretty in that silk nightgown she wore. And vocally, she did
well (she sang 'live' over the backing track). She was obviously nervous, but
in the end she pulled through.
