Vance Joy Premieres Music Video of NEW SONG "Fire And The Flood": Enjoy!
Amazing! Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy gave radios the green light to world premiere this Thursday morning (July 23) his new single “Fire and the Flood” and only a few minutes later the music video was unveiled, via YouTube, too. The digital release won’t occur till tomorrow, July 24. “Fire and the Flood” is confirmed to be the first single from the upcoming re-release edition of Vance Joy’s 2014-released debut album “Dream Your Life Away” – which spawned the worldwide hit “Riptide”.
The follow-up singles from “Dream Your Life Away” after “Riptide” weren’t as successful so I’m certain that’s the reason why the label of the Australian singer thought of a re-release (with the critical acclaim “Dream Your Life Away” has had a second album release so soon just wasn’t an option. The best choice, and that’s what Vance’s label did, was to ‘extend’ the life of “Dream Your Life Away” with a re-release).
Vance Joy’s previous singles, all those released after “Riptide”, may not have been as successful but I’m 100% convinced “Fire and the Flood” will. For me it’s almost on the same level as “Riptide”. That’s right! This indie folk ballad is just perfection. From the melody, the lyrical content, the vocals, the uplifting production, to that stadium-ready chorus of course. I so see this being a hit in America.
The Hayley Young-directed music video (see below), where Vance Joy takes us on a tour throughout his amazing NYC apartment with views that for an unknown reason his girlfriend is destroying, isn’t very exciting, but since the song is incredible I will forget Vance.
