Unexpected: Why Don't We Recruit Rapper Macklemore For New Single "I Don't Belong In This Club"
Your eyes are not deceiving you. It's a Why Don't We and Macklemore collaboration. Random? Hell yeah. But good for the boy band. Scoring a collaboration with the "Thrift Shop" rapper is a major win for anybody and this feature will definitely open a few doors for Why Don't We in terms of gaining a larger audience.
The song is called "I Don't Belong In This Club". Do I love it? Not really. I think it's one of my least favorite Why Don't We singles yet. Don't you feel it sounds a bit dated? (It reminds me a lot to Usher's 2008 single "Love In This Club"). I swear a yawn escaped from my mouth as I heard this song on my first listen.
Also, it felt hilarious hearing the Why Don't We guys talking about clubs when they legally can't enter one yet... right? (anybody already 21? I don't think so.)
With respect to the meaning of the song, "I Don't Belong In This Club" seems to be the ultimate anti-social anthem.
