Tulisa Drops Flawless Kiesza-esque Single "Living Without You": Listen
“I know I've made mistakes”. Yes you have Tulisa, but we forgive you if that has inspired you to recorded better music. The British singer premiered yesterday (Oct. 20) her new single "Living Without You" via an audio video uploaded on YouTube. The “deep-house” song is the confirmed lead single from Ms. Contostavlos’ upcoming second solo album to be released early next year on AATW/Universal.
Tulisa’ last “solo” first single (she's a former N-Dubz star) was “Young” from her 2012 debut “solo” album “The Female Boss”. Back then, Tulisa decided to get on the EDM wave and that’s the genre she used for the creation of the anthemic “Young”. Now in 2014, Tulisa felt like she needed to get on a different "wave". So what’s a hot new musical trend? EDM is dying, R&B music is again on a weak phase, Tulisa already did urban music, happy pop music doesn't seem to her favourite genres...so what's left? A hint? What artist has brought back a thought-to-be-lost genre and made it "fresh" again? Kiesza! Tulisa is shamelessly swagger-jacking Kiesza's deep-house sound for her new solo era. Should we be bashing Tulisa for this “sacrilege”? Not at all. In fact we should be applauding her. Because instead of “stealing” a sound and totally failing, Tulisa is THRIVING in it!! She’s actually created a song that could on some level rival with Kiesza’s flawless music. Hear "Living Without You" below!!!
The deep-house song "Living Without You" is basically heart-breaking anthem where Tulisa sings of not wanting to live life without the love of the man she loves. “Living without you is a curse that I can't take” is exactly what Tulisa says. Over a super danceable deep-house beat Tulisa tells that boy why he shouldn’t ditch him. And for those wondering if drugs had messed up Tulisa’s voice she’s making a strong statement in "Living Without You" that NOT.
