Tove Styrke Thought She Had A “Vibe” And We Think She Has A Hit: Song Premiere
I wonder why Tove Styrke isn’t a big name yet. Could it be that the fame of the other “Tove”, Tove Lo, is hindering that progress? If that would be the case, do you think she should opt for a stage name change?
The Swedish singer released a new single titled “Vibe” over the weekend on digital platforms. New album, new EP on the way? Most likely but Tove Styrke has yet to spill any official tea.
“Vibe” is a delicious sounding mid-tempo pop sing with an urban influence. “We was like a movie / My bad, I was just assuming / Now you treat me like you never knew me / Good luck trying to find a new me”, sings Tove Styrke in the pre-chorus of the song. Then she will lament “I thought we had a vibe” in the chorus multiple times. So yeah, “Vibe” is a song about a ruined relationship. The split caught the Swedish lady by surprise and she’s expressing those feelings in this new track, but don't get her wrong, she's pragmatically moving on.
“Vibe” is easy to listen, the melody is delicious on the ear, I love the “pause” moments, Tove Styrke’s voice was born to sing pop, and I just hope she will be able to get her “big break” soon. She’s releasing constant great music and I don’t think she’s obtaining the praise she deserves.
