Tinashe Premieres One-Night-Stands Ode “Faded Love” Ft. Future: Listen Here
Who’s a fan of “no strings attached”, one night stands? No? Well, Tinashe is! The R&B singer just dropped her new song “Faded Love” featuring Future and the lyrics speak about that. The craving of having sex with guy whose name or cellphone number you don’t need to know. You just want to take him to your bed and just move on with your life without any acquired feelings the next day. It’s a valid way of life, right? Well, maybe if you’re about to hit your 40s you might want to change your strategy to find yourself a life partner once and for all but if you’re young then yeah, one night stands are okay. Why settle down in your “best” years, yeah?
“Faded Love” just like “No Drama” will appear on Tinashe’s much-delayed second studio album “Joyride” that according to her is finally “done” and will definitely be dropping in 2018. I’m actually scared to ask Tinashe how many songs from the many scrapped editions of “Joyride” she’s had to let go… ‘cause do you think the final edition of “Joyride” will be all brand new ones? I don’t see “Player” or “Flame” making the final cut for some reason…
“No don't give me your name / No I don't need your number saved in my phone / Just follow me, follow me, follow me / Follow me home”, sings Tinashe in this sultry number called “Faded Love”.
By the way, do you agree with me Future’s contribution doesn’t make much sense with the song? I mean, his rapping is usually awesome but in the case of “Faded Love” Future’s kind of kills the sensual, smooth mood. Either Tinashe should’ve asked for a different collaborator, e.g a male R&B singer, or had asked Future to do relaxed, sung verse.
