When I was starting to believe vertical music videos were a trend that hadn’t quite worked out well, here comes Tinashe to give that unexciting trend new oxygen. She premiered a vertical music video for her song “Faded Love” last night on VEVO. The music video sees Tinashe dancing and just making love to the beat of the song in a white outfit in a dark industrial facility. Future makes no physical appearance in this vertical video.
What did Tinashe demonstrate in here? That she’s an incredible dancer (but that we already knew), that her beauty is still ridiculous, that she can handle working in a small space and that she can manage to slay even in a small screen. Vertical music videos are best enjoyed if you’re watching them, like the YouTube video below, on your phone and in full screen.
This music video would’ve been so much better with wider image ratio. Grrr!!! This is why I find vertical videos kind of annoying. I know mobile traffic is now very important but at least Tinashe could've given us the official "Faded Love" music video first. Now how long do we have to wait?
