Tim McGraw - "Lookin' For That Girl" [Music Video Premiere]
Tim McGraw premiered this morning (March 14th) on VEVO the music video for "Lookin' For That Girl". The auto-tuned country ballad if the first single from Tim's 13th studio album (and second for Big Machine Records) which shall hit stores later in 2014.
"Lookin' For That Girl" is co-produced by Byron Gallimore and Tim McGraw himself. Without the auto-tune, I would think of it as a pretty safe, but pretty country ballad, but with all this auto-tune or vocoder (or whatever voice-enhancer methord they used), the song sounds like an ugly mess. Then again, if Luke Bryan's hiphop-fied single "That's My Kinda Night" triumphed on the charts, why Tim McGraw's new single couldn't? (side-eye).
As for the "Lookin' For That Girl" music video, I should be hating this too, but I don't. I've seen many videos of this style (small room, big green screen on the back, low light, light effects, glowing colors, random 3D-esque footage going around, etc), but for some reason this "theme" works for the auto-tuned "Lookin' For That Girl".
