The XX - "I See You": Album Lyrics
5 long years took English indie-rock band The XX to release a new album. Their third one, entitled "I See You", will be released tomorrow, January 13th, globally via the independent record label of Young Turks.
"I See You" will be made of 10 songs in total - all of them co-written by the three The XX members; Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith.
The lead single of this LP was the song "On Hold", which the band performed live in late 2016 on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in America.
This is what The XX wrote to their fans in an official statement when they announced "I See You" back in November:
"After many years, close together, far apart, great highs, deep lows, heartache and healing, we are so happy to let you know we are releasing our 3rd album 'I See You' on January 13th 2017.
We realise these are uncertain times and we hope the joy and love we found making the record will find its way out into the world, in however small a way. "
FYI: The XX's last album was 2012's flawless "Coexist".
