The Weeknd Cries Singing “Call Out My Name” Thinking Of Selena Gomez In Coachella 2018
This is heartbreak in its most honest form.
Canadian music superstar The Weeknd headlined Day 1 of Coachella 2018 last Friday (April 13) and during his performance of “Call Out My Name” (the first single from his “My Dear Melancholy” EP) he just lost control of his emotions. Abel was on the verge of crying at various parts of the performance (making sudden pauses to hold that cascade from coming out of his eyes) but he just couldn’t contain the tears anymore when he sang the super sad last lyric of “Call Out My Name”: “Girl, I'll be on my way…”. The Weeknd couldn’t properly finish the performance, he didn’t finish pronouncing the last lyrics, he just went mute and lowered his head to hide his crying face. The crowd realized this and immediately gave the Canadian singer a big cheer of support.
Now there’s no denying The Weeknd wrote “Call Out My Name” thinking of Selena Gomez.
And this Coachella 2018 appearance must’ve been very difficult for The Weeknd as last year he attended the festival in the company of his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez. He must’ve remembered all those amazing festival moments he shared with her last year when belting “Call Out My Name”.
Be strong!
