The Ting Tings premiered on YouTube on Monday,
July 14th, the music video for their new single “Wrong Club”. The British duo
will be attempting a ‘comeback’ in 2014 after the commercial disaster that was
their 2012 album release "Sounds from Nowheresville” (debuted at #23 in

About ‘Wrong Club’
It’s the first single and title track from The
Ting Tings’ forthcoming third studio album arriving later this year. The song is
a total departure from The Ting Tings' previous rock / pop-punk / indie-rock
sound. "Wrong Club" sounds like a close cousin of Daft Punk's
"Get Lucky". It's dance-funk music, and the Tings sound totally amazing in it!

Review
My first thought after watching the full “Wrong Club” video was: Robyn “Call Your Girlfriend”! Certainly The Ting Tings and director Lisa Paclet watched the Robyn video for her hit single a few times after shooting this. In the “Wrong Club” clip, we see Katie White, in afro hair look, dancing around a light show in an old warehouse in Paris. The choreography isn’t the most-demanding I have seen in my life, but it all looked cute in the end. The light show really ADDED to the video!
