The Ting Tings Select "Do It Again" As New Single: Stream (Cover Art Included)
The Ting Tings continue with their very disco, very Nile Rodgers-inspired new sound. The British duo just confirmed that the song “Do It Again” – they’ve been playing it during their latest concerts across Britain - will serve as the second single from their upcoming new album "Super Critical", which is out on October 27th (pre-order here).
The Tings made the studio version of “Do It Again” streamable today (click play below) but if you want to buy the song – after you hear it and love it – you'll have to wait till next Monday, September 22nd, because that's the day it's hitting iTunes.
“Do It Again” is just the perfect follow-up to “Wrong Club”. It's got that same disco-tinged sound - which I love on The Ting Tings - and overall it's very laid-back, and makes you want to hear it over and over again. The Tings have certainly found their perfect niche in the disco genre. In a recent interview with DigitalSpy, Jules and Katie explained that “Do It Again” was about: “the need to do something wrong again and not being lazy” as well as “about a need to lighten up, stop the paralysis of criticism and do anything that makes you feel good”.
Today, besides the audio, The Tings also unveiled the single’s artwork. See above.
