The NFL Makes It Official: Maroon 5, Travis Scott & Big Boi To Perform at 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show But Travis Had THIS Non-Negotiable Condition... Any Ideal Setlist?
We all knew it but there was still to be a confirmation. That confirmation finally came today, though.
The NFL officially announced Maroon 5 as the act that will be headlining the halftime show performance at the 2019 Super Bowl, which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3rd. Travis Scott was also officially announced as a guest performer. But that we already knew too. The only surprise in today's official announcement was the inclusion of rapper Big Boi as the second guest performer. Excited about Big Boi's performance? Me neither...

Oh, and we just found too that the NFL had to honor a Travis Scott request if they wanted him to perform "Sicko Mode" at the Super Bowl this year. They had to make a generous donation to a social justice cause of Travis's choosing. How much is "generous"? 500,000 dollars! Wowza. This money will go to Dream Corps.
This is what Travis Scott had to say in a statement:
“I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in. I know being an artist that it’s in my power to inspire. So before confirming the Super Bowl Halftime performance, I made sure to partner with the NFL on this important donation. I am proud to support Dream Corps and the work they do that will hopefully inspire and promote change.”
There was much controversy and backlash towards Travis Scott for agreeing to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl after the appalling treatment the NFL have Colin Kaepernick. Acts like Cardi B or Rihanna REFUSED to participate at this year's halftime show for this reason. So if Travis wanted to be on that show and not look bad, he had so something, hence this social justice cause massive donation he got out of the NFL. However, wouldn't you agree this now makes Big Boi and Maroon 5 look bad?
What would be your ideal setlist for this year's Super Bowl halftime show?
After last year's BORING halftime show - sorry Justin Timberlake - Maroon 5 better BRING IT. I don't want this to be another Coldplay dull moment.
