The Fray "Helios" Complete Album Lyrics

the fray helios album cover

Alternative-rock band The Fray changes up their music style just a tad in their fourth studio album "Helios", scheduled for release on February 25th via Epic Records. The 11-song set is preceded by the lead single "Love Don't Die", released in the Fall of 2013. The track was only capable of reaching the #60 position on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Fray's rock productions are different in "Helios". If they're previously stuff was felt more "vulnerable" and closer to pop genre (e.g "How To Save A Life" and "You Found Me"). "Helios", on the contrary, feels more mature, a little darker, and it's filled with angsty anthems. Frontman Isaac Slade also shows evolution as a singer in "Helios". His vocals sound more powerful, and deep. There are plenty of tracks on The Fray's new album that have potential to be smash hits, in my opinion, however, "Love Don't Die" is one of them and it underperformed on the charts. This may indicate what the US audience looks for in the The Fray are their "vulnerable pop" songs. Was this musical change a mistake?
