The Dream - Roc (Music Video!)
Watch now the Marc Klasfeld-directed visual for The Dream's laid-back tune "ROC", the official first single from his upcoming album "The Love IV: Diary of a Madman", in stores this Spring/Summer via Radio Killa/Def Jam - The Dream (aka. the guy who produced Rihanna's monster hit "Umbrella") is a cool dude, but I think he should stick to producing songs ONLY, and let the singing to others. I kinda enjoyed his debut solo CD "Love Hate" (2006), but the follow-ups have been so uninspired, and 'more of the same stuff'. For instance, this new single "ROC". I won't question it is a nice R&B track to chill-out (the production is really soothing) but will a song of these characteristics make you wanna pick up The Dream's new album, and spend your money on it when you can use it to buy other stuf? Of course NOT. Anyhow, enough of my rant. Commenting on the newly-premiered "ROC" video, it sees The Dream stopping by a house party, flipping some burgers on the grill, playing arcade games, making love to his girl, and just random people getting down to the melodious beat of "ROC".
