Tessanne Chin Wins "The Voice" Season 5, Debuts New Song "Tumbling Down"
Jamaica-born contestant Tessanne Chin was proclaimed winner of Season 5 of "The Voice" on Tuesday, December 17th. Tessanne received the largest number of votes on last night's grand finale beating runner-up Jacquie Lee of Team Christina Aguilera.
This is the second personal victory for Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine on the NBC talent show, after Javier Colon's 2011 triumph on Season 1.
After Carson Daley announced the news Tessanne Chin won the show, and she wiped away her tears, the 28-year-old went on to perform an highly-emotional rendition of her coronation single, "Tumbling Down". The Ryan Tedder-produced chessy, but cute reggae-fied ballad is now available for purchase on iTunes. But you preview it below first!
One of Tessanne Chin's most memorable performance will undoubtely be her rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" on the last performance show on December 16th. She went it for the kill (vocally), and emotioned viewers. She simply transcended in every way. Her "I Have Nothing" version reached #1 on iTunes USA.
