Sugababes Perform 'Freedom' At 'Chester Rocks'
The Sugababes performed over the weekend their first live show after announcing their move to Sony Music Entertainment - Check out the videos of Heidi, Amelle and Jade nailing her set at the 'Chester Rocks' festival (UK) - The British pop trio leave their record label of ten years, Island Records, for a new three-album deal with Sony within its 'RCA Records' label.
After the tremendous flop the Sugababes' last album "Sweet 7" was, the Island Records execs must have thrown in a big party celebrating their final liberation from the 'flopbabes'. On the other hand, for Heidi, Amelle and Jade, it must have felt like their best day ever. Signing a three-album deal nowaways - considering the industry's situation, and having in your CV the "Sweet 7" album, is like winning the lottery, really. Anyhow, I wish them the best, although now that they're 'at it', switching labels and everything, they should've changed their name too xD. Calling them Sugababes just sounds weird now.
