Song Premiere: Billie Eilish’s “Bury A Friend” Is Dark But Super Catchy
The ever fascinating Billie Eilish premiered last night a brand new song/single titled “Bury A Friend”. This is yet another dark song from Miss Eilish but it doesn’t prevent “Bury A Friend” from being super catchy. This is an INSTANT song I warn you, so be prepared for a first-listen SLAYAGE.
“Bury A Friend” will appear on Billie Eilish’s upcoming debut studio album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, which will arrive in stores on March 29.

“Bury a friend, I wanna end me” are not the most uplifting lyrics ever but I LIVE for Billie Eilish and everything that comes out of her beautiful crazy mind, so yes, I’m going to sing this out loud no matter what and I won’t feel embarrassed at all. Plus, this beat on “Bury A Friend” is EVERYTHING and I feel like with a cool remix this new Billie Eilish single could SLAY at the clubs. So that would be another incentive to sing “bury a friend, I wanna end me” with no insecurities whatsoever.
If you’re interested in knowing the true meaning behind “Bury A Friend”, I’m pasting below for you a quote Billie Eilish recently gave in an interview about this subject:
“When we made ‘bury a friend,’ the whole album clicked in my head,” she says. “I immediately knew what it was going to be about, what the visuals were going to be, and everything in terms of how I wanted it to be perceived. It inspired what the album is about. ‘bury a friend’ is literally from the perspective of the monster under my bed. If you put yourself in that mindset, what is this creature doing or feeling?”
“I also confess that I’m this monster, because I’m my own worst enemy,” she continues. “I might be the monster under your bed too.”
