So Deserving: Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” Debuts at #1 On Billboard Hot 100
Congratulations are in order for Ariana Grande. Her song “Thank U, Next” has officially debuted #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Debuting at #1 is not an easy feat to achieve and Ariana should feel very blessed at this moment. She is the first female artist to debut #1 with a single since Adele’s “Hello” in 2015.

The airplay, streaming numbers and digital sales “Thank U, Next” has achieved in U.S within these few days are huge, ridiculously huge. She is for sure making the right move to be kick starting a new era so fast after “Sweetener” and building it around “Thank U, Next” – which is also the title of the next album. According to Ariana, the follow-up album is almost ready to go. The question is when will her label allow her to release it. The “Sweetener Tour” is starting in March next year… do you think the new album will be released before that month? If so, will she include a few songs from the follow-up album to the setlist of the “Sweetener Tour”? You see? Releasing a new album so soon has many implications! But Ariana should definitely release “Thank U, Next”, the album, soon. She should exploit this momentum and I’m sure all of the songs will be brilliant.
By the way, how crazy is it that “Thank U, Next” is Ariana’s first #1 single, huh? But it is true. She almost reached the top position in 2014 with “Problem”, which made it to #2.
