Snoop Dogg - "Peaches N Cream" [Music Video Premiere!]
Is this what Snoop Dogg sees when he gets high?
The iconic hip-hop artist premiered last night (March 18) the official music video for his Pharrell Williams and Charlie Wilson-assisted song "Peaches N Cream" on VEVO. The retro-groovy number is the lead single from big Snoop's upcoming 13th studio album titled “Bush” - which will be arriving in stores later this year via Columbia Records. What a terrific title, huh?
The Williams touch
"Peaches N Cream" hears producer Pharrell’s latest signature sound of retro, groovy, old soul/funk music which started with “Happy” and his “GIRL” album. I’m not hating "Peaches N Cream" because I'm actually finding myself nodding along to it but I do think it's a "too late" move by Snoop Dogg to try and give this sound right now when everybody's been doing it for the last 2 years. He's riding the wave too late, if you know what I mean, and there are high probabilities the judges (the general public) will not care for it.
The trippy music video
Directed by Aramis Israel and Hannah Lux Davis, the official "Peaches N Cream" visual sees Snoop Dogg showing us his own trippy, psychedelic world which he most likely sees when he gets to fly "high" – which probably is every day if you ask me. It sees Snoop getting his D'Angelo on in the sense he gets touched by a set of female hands while he's topless, gets his Gaga on by wearing a pair of sunglasses that I'm 100% sure I’ve seen Mother Monster used, and finally he also he sits on his throne sporting his best winter fashions as perfectly-shaped bush trees stand next to him left and right. Oh, track collaborators Pharrell and Charlie are also guests in Snoop’s worlds and they appear from time to time only when they’re required to sing their parts.
