Sia - "Elastic Heart" [Official Music Video Premiere!]
Maddie Ziegler is back! The child dancer of the "Chandelier" music video isn't the sole star in the new Sia video for "Elastic Heart", though. She now shares the spotlight with actor Shia Labeouf. The two will go on a dance showdown! (don’t ask me how Shia Labeouf got into this Sia MV. I’m just as shocked as you. Needed the money, maybe?).
"Elastic Heart" is the new official single from Sia’s "1000 Forms of Fear" album, and its music video premiered via VEVO at Wednesday midday (Jan. 7). Watch below:
"Elastic Heart" was originally included on the soundtrack of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" back in 2013 but Sia loved the song so much that she decided to also add it to the tracklisting of her sixth studio album (released a year later). No surprise there. An artist adding to his/her album an original song he/she recorded for a movie released months before? No surprise. But what Sia is doing is to release as official single a song that’s already two-years-old! Now that’s crazy. "Elastic Heart" was already ‘sold’ two years ago, it was largely played by everyone two years ago, and if I don't remember wrongly I'd say it even made it to radio two years ago. So pciking "Elastic Heart" (the song we’ll always remember as part of the “Catching Fire" soundtrack) over the other NEWER tracks on "1000 Forms of Fear" seems a bit crazy and a lot disrespectful to me. I mean, I’m DYING to see "Fire Meet Gasoline" be released as single!
Anyhow, back to the music video. Maddie and Shia Labeouf just killed it. I thought it was going to be tough to top the "Chanderlier" video but I think it just got done.
Yeah, I may not be entirely happy with "Elastic Heart" being the new Sia single but I gotta admit the music video is damn good.
