Sevyn Streeter Returns To A Philadelphia 76ers Game To Perform The US National Anthem Following “We Matter” Jersey Incident: VIDEO
The Philadelphia 76ers did her wrong back in October when they BANNED Sevyn Streeter from performing the American national anthem prior to the beginning of its NBA league game against the Oklahoma City Thunder last-minute for refusing to remove a "controversial" "We Matter" jersey. However, the Philadelphia 76ers did apologize days later and publicly BEGGED Sevyn to return another day to do her "Star-Spangled Banner" rendition. After arranging her schedule, Ms. Streeter had her "full circle" moment last night (two months after the original "incident"). At the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Lakers pre-game at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Friday night, Sevyn hit the court wearing her "We Matter" jersey once again and she SLAYED the national anthem.
*True that very last note was a bit "agh" but the overall execution was brilliant! She was a bit nervous maybe?
Sevyn's much-anticipated debut album "Girl Disrupted" hit stores in early 2017.
