Selena Gomez’ First Ever Spanish Collaboration To Be With Paulina Rubio?
Go Paulina Rubio.
I don't know how she's done it but the Mexican pop diva is to join the select list of artists that will have an official original collaboration with Selena Gomez.
Rubio will release her eleventh studio album in 2017 and she confirmed very recently in an interview with Vanidades Magazine that it will feature a duet with the "Hands to Myself" singer.
How do you visualize the arrival of your new album?
It’s going to be another “member” of the team, that is, family. “It” will be a true warrior, it will have a bit of every genre, from band to pop; collaborations with DJ Snake and Selena Gomez, and above all I tried to have a key element: that the music was danceable.
"Let Me Love You" DJ Snake too? WOW!
But how in Beyoncé's name did she get Selena to record with her? I'm super curious to know about that story.
Anyway, my bet is that this collaboration with Selena was recorded well before she went into rehab and hiatus. Paulina Rubio has been working on her eleventh LP for two years ago so it's more than possible. It's like the case of Cashmere Cat and "Trust Nobody". Selena recorded that song before she began feeling unwell.
Will Paulina and Selena's collaboration be in Spanish, English or Spanglish? So many questions! Can't wait for early 2017 to come already. It may be hard to ask for a new Selena Gomez album next year, since she's still recovering, but we will have "new music" from her anyway thanks to these "secret" collaborations she did before going into full hiatus. Because I have the feeling there are MORE SONGS besides this with Paulina Rubio. I really want to believe that.
Can't wait to possibly hear Selena in Spanish again?
PS: Selena Gomez has recorded songs in Spanish before but she has never recorded a collaboration/duet with a Spanish artist. "Un Año Sin Lluvia" is an example of the few Spanish single Selena's had in her career:
