Selena Gomez' "Fetish" Is Like A Drug: Single Premiere
This song is like a drug, I’ve had it in a constant loop ever since I first played earlier this Thursday morning.
Selena Gomez released her new single “Fetish” today (July 13) online. The track is the follow-up to “Bad Liar” and is another one that will appear on the pop singer’s forthcoming new studio album (out later in 2017). “Fetish” features “Down” rapper Gucci Mane and besides getting released digitally on major platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music, Selena also premiered an official audio video on VEVO that showed her lower face section singing to the song. Sexy lips alert!
I wonder if this was written with The Weeknd in mind? If it was, that would mean Selena played hard to get with him (“I push you out and you come right back”).
“Fetish” is a sexy track with pop as its main DNA but with traces of R&B sensibility. The subtle, smooth and hot synthey production of “Fetish” is one of the most delicious things I’ve heard so far this year. Whoever produced it must be given a big round of applause. It’s so good, it flows well with Selena’s singing and lyrics, and it’s really 60% of why I love this song. The other 40% goes to the chorus. It’s so addictive. I love the verses too, but replay after replay, I’m praying for the verses to pass fast so I can hear the chorus one more time. Oh, and I thought Gucci Mane’s rap verse was going to ruin the song but it didn’t. He was a nice addition to “Fetish” actually. It was a good intermission so we could heal our hearts for a few seconds after so much slayage in the first two minutes of the song.
“You got a fetish for my love”, sings Selena in this song where she gets off on seeing how guys get obsessed with her and want more of her.
This is going to be a massive hit for Miss Gomez.
