Sara Bareilles Sings 'Chandelier' Better Than Sia: Watch
Sara Bareilles is an amazing singer who has no
issue showing her face. She just covered Sia’s hit single “Chandelier” in
concert and it is undoubtedly the best cover I have seen of the song so far. The
‘vocal slayage’ was real and I still have goosebumps on my skin.
WHEN AND WHERE DID IT HAPPEN?
Sara took her ‘Little Black Dress’ tour to the
city of Chicago on July 10th, 2014 at The Chicago Theater (175 N State St,
Chicago, IL 60601).

REVIEW
Do you prefer an artist who sings her own song well but hides her face in the live performances hence you being unable to fully ‘connect’ with the song or an artist that covers the same song, shows her face, and completely owns and I dare to say TOPS the original version? It’s a no-brainer, right?
Sia
should learn a few lessons from Sara Bareilles. You don’t have to have Maddie dancing all around, have a clown-themed performance, or perform your song lying face down on a bed. Just sing your song live showing your face so we can
actually connect with YOU! Yes, Sia’s new album ‘1000 Forms of Fear’ will be
topping the Billboard 200 when it debuts on the chart next week but how much
will it be selling? According to HitsDailyDouble, only 48-53K copies! The only
reason Sia will be topping the charts is because she had no real competition –
new releases-wise – on her debut week. Watch the album drop 80% in sales in the
subsequent week.
Sara absolutely killed her ‘Chandelier’ cover; singing it almost acapella, only backed by the small guitar she was playing. There was no tiny flaw. Everything was perfect. Her vocals were crystal clear and powerful.
