Sara Bareilles Has Something Important To Say: Listen To Her New Single “Armor” To Find Out What
In troubled times there’s a voice that needs to be heard and that’s the voice of Sara Bareilles. Over the years she has given us anthems such as “King of Anything” or “Brave” and in 2018, where society is again deteriorating, here comes Sara to the rescue to update everybody’s mindsets for the better with powerful reflections.
This empowering new song “Armor” is the first single from Sara Bareilles’ upcoming fourth major label album, which will be arrive in stores in early 2019 via Epic Records. “Armor” is Sara’s first official single release in five years (true she released an album in 2015 but that was all music from her “Waitress” Broadway musical) – so yeah, a comeback was already a necessity.
“To all the dirty looks, the kitty cat calls / To the ones who try and throw us up against the back walls / Let me tell you something you’ll understand: / Only the little boys tell you they’re a big man”, sings Sara in the first verse of her powerful new song, which is both a reflection regarding what’s happening in the U.S in present day and a loud support against sexism: “Underneath the leaves, Adam found Eve / Both of them found something sweet under the apple tree / How the hell did Eve end up with all the damn blame?”.
This song was not intended to be released until next year, but it felt increasingly like it wants to belong to this moment in time. So excited to share this special song that is so near and dear to my heart. https://t.co/rRve204pb7
