Sam Smith Covers Drake's "Hotline Bling" on BBC Live Lounge, Also Acoustically Performs "Omen" With Disclosure!
Disclosure and Sam Smith performed a Live Lounge acoustic session today (September 16) on the BBC Radio 1. The English electronic music production duo will be releasing soon, in just one week actually, their second studio album "Caracal" and this Live Lounge acoustic set is one of the first promotional 'gigs' they are doing leading up to the album release date.
On the Live Lounge today, and as it's tradition, Disclosure performed two songs, both with the help of Grammy award-winning and close friend Sam Smith. The first song was "Omen", the lead single from "Caracal", and a song that officially features Sam Smith - after the success of "Latch" in 2012 they just had to work together again, huh? - and the second, their mandatory cover, was...Drake's "Hotline Bling". Say what!? Sam Smith doing Drake? Now that was totally unexpected. Such a soulful and electro-relaxing version! LOVED IT!
