Robyn - "Monument" [Music Video]
Röyksopp & Robyn have selected the official second single from their debut joint album “Do It Again” (Dog Triumph), and that’s the synth-pop mid-tempo “Monument”. This doesn’t sound like a Bilboard Hot Dance Club Songs Chart #1 like the title track and first single "Do It Again” was (unless it gets a very dance-y remix), but “Monument” is a good track anyway. And the Max Vitali-directed video is dope!

“For me the video for #Monument is about some kind of inner journey, space in time and the experience of your own body”, said our favourite Swedish pop songstress on Twitter. The director Max Vitali is a long time collaborator of Robyn. He shot the brilliant “Call Your Girlfriend”! For the “Monument” visual, he kept it again very simple, but very intense. Röyksopp & Robyn lie down on a white and very-illuminated circular platform as a couple performs a contemporary dance routine. In between, we see random footage of cells, human tissue, the universe, the stars and bizarre buildings/figures (what are those? buildings, right?). It's all very intense and mystical!
