Rixton Make US Television Debut on 'The Voice'
Go Rixton! The UK pop-rock band made their US television debut on 'The Voice' last night (April 29th).That your first televised performance in America is on a huge show like 'The Voice' proves Rixton's manager Scooter Braun is working hard for them!
Rixton performed on Monday night their official debut single 'Me and My Broken Heart', off of their debut EP of the same name. After their 'The Voice' performance, 'Me and My Broken Heart' impressively rose on iTunes USA. As of this post, the Maroon 5-ish pop-rock single has broken the Top 10 and it currently sits at #6.
As for the group's 'The Voice' performance (watch below), they smashed it! They got the word RIXTON in huge white letters in the back so everyone knew who they were, and they completely slayed the song. 'Me and My Broken Heart' is a solid radio-friendly single, and it translates so well live. You could tell though frontman Jake Roche was nervous as heck (look at his right hand shaking at 0:33!). He pulled through in the end!
Coaches of 'The Voice' seemed to be feeling 'Me and My Broken Heart' too. Shakira was feeling the beat, Usher did a drum solo and Adam Levine, well, he did seem a little 'puzzled'. Like thinking to himself, 'Hmm, doesn't this sound like Maroon 5?...I like though'.
