Rita Ora's "Let You Love Me" Lacks The 'Wow' But It's A Good Song Anyway: PREMIERE
Rita Ora released a new single called “Let You Love Me” on Friday (Sept. 21) and it is a good song but it is not wowing me. I did give it a few listens but still not “wowed”. Is that bad? Well, with Rita in the last year everything has been “wowing”. I was wowed with “Your Song”, I was wowed with “Anywhere” and I was wowed most recently with “Girls”. So I do was expecting another “wowing” moment with “Let You Love Me”. So imagine my mini disappointment. I say “mini” because in the end “Let You Love Me” is not a bad song but it’s not the “wow” song I was expecting.
“Let You Love Me” is a little bit of R&B and a little bit of pop and it has a little bit of a synth-pop production. Overall this mid-tempo love song has a very strong “European” vibe meaning I don’t see this becoming a huge hit in America.
My favorite part has to be everything that follows the bridge. I know it’s just choruses but there are high notes, long notes, and a lot of cool adlibs from my favorite Kosovar chanteuse.
Rita's new album "Phoenix" is out November 23.
