Rita Ora & Liam Payne Drop Romantic Synth Pop Collaboration “For You”: Listen Here
When there have been so many good singles coming from the “Fifty Shades” soundtrack, it’s very hard to follow the footsteps sometimes. This is what’s happening to Liam Payne and Rita Ora’s collaboration “For You”, which will be found on the “Fifty Shades Freed” soundtrack and in some scene of the movie – which hits theaters on February 9th. “For You” has been chosen as the first single from the “Fifty Shades Freed” soundtrack and it was released today under heavy promotion. Is “For You” up to the level of “Earned It”, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” or “Love Me Like You Do”? The most honest answer is “no”. But is the song terrible? Not at all. It’s a fine song with a catchy chorus and a feel-good, romantic vibe. It’s just that I don’t think it should have been single… if the guys making the decisions about everything “Fifty Shades”-related wanted to keep a cool streak of amazing soundtrack singles. “For You” is less amazing than Rita Ora’s current own single “Anywhere”, and this being a soundtrack song of a “Fifty Shades” movie, it should be the opposite, don’t you think? But anyways, again, I kind of dig the song, I’ve been replaying it quite a lot this morning, and it’s definitely going to some of my Spotify playlists. I very much love Rita Ora’s vocals and this is a song that will definitely suit well for my bus ridings, strolling in the streets moments. It’s a very casual synth pop song.
