Phillip Phillips' Studio Version Of "Miles" Is Glorious: Premiere
“Miles” is Phillip Phillips’ first single from his forthcoming third studio album, which will be released later in 2017 via Interscope Records. “Miles” was released to digital platforms on August 11. “I'm so excited to connect with my fans again by releasing new music. Go listen to my first single "Miles"”, wrote the American Idol alum on social media, confirming “Miles” not being a mere one-off single for the summer but an official single from an upcoming full-length album – the long-anticipated follow-up to 2014’s “Behind the Light”.
“Miles” is not entirely “new”, though. Phillip debuted it live in concert last year and has been performing the song at select shows ever since. This is, however, the first time we get to hear the studio version of “Miles”, and as expected, it is glorious.
“We’re works of art / We're falling stars / We're fire waiting for a spark / We're gonna be miles up / No, we're never gonna come down”, sings Phillip Phillips in his romantic new single.
Looks like he’s moving on from his more folk stuff into deeper ambient, all the way mid-tempo rock and roll!
I love this!
