Nicki Minaj & Beyoncé - "Feeling Myself" [Music Video Premiere!]
Surprise! Nicki Minaj broke the Internet moments ago by unexpectedly premiering the music video for her Beyoncé collaboration and stand-out cut from her “The PinkPrint” album, the Hit Boy-produced “Feeling Myself”.
The visual, that Nicki and Bey shot during Coachella week, exclusively world premiered on TIDAL on Monday, May 18. VEVO quickly tweeted a “welp…(sad face)” message right after. That tweet kind of sums up everybody's overall feeling, doesn’t it? I mean, great that we have finally have a music video for “Feeling Myself” – although it’d have been best if this had dropped a few months ago when the urban song was at its highest peak on radio – but this TIDAL foolishness has to stop. I mean, it’s definitely bad for business. Nicki’s business, that is. Any new music video’s critical moment is the first day that it's out in the world and by exclusively releasing it on TIDAL, meaning non-subscribers can’t watch it, Her Minajesty’s missing out on the VEVO streaming points, monetization and most importantly allowing ALL of her fans, without restrict, to watch her new music video and share this joyous moment with her. I mean, this TIDAL exclusive is evidently going to backfire on her at all levels. Just look down below this post. People have already ripped the TIDAL exclusive stream and leaked the full “Feeling Myself” video through other outlets.
As for the actual MV, it’s super fun, and girly. It shows Nicki and Beyoncé doing exactly what the song commands – bragging about themselves, eating hamburgers in a not very elegant way, giving hilarious facial expressions on the bed, and chilling by the pool and at the desert in sexy get-ups.
